Artist's Comments

I know, they're the most annoying monsters in the entire Zelda series (Especially in the first game and in Wind Waker!) but. . . they're my favorite monsters in the series, so I just had to take them back to their roots, of the pointed hats and the hooded robes, before the Tucan Sam and evil troll looks of Wind Waker and Majoras Mask.

The red Wizzrobe is an elite type Wizzrobe, while the blue one is a lower level "grunt" type.

I love the designs you've made so far, they aren't UBER realistic, but they arent dumb and cartoony either. Then again, someone's going to remark that the one on the left looks like meeko or merko or whoever he was from He-man, though, I just know it. XD
I love em, and I agree that wizzrobes have gotten downright silly in recent games... then again that was sort of the point of wind waker. aonuma wanted to remake the zelda universe in his own image since he'd just taken over.. mwahaha..

Nice rendition of the evil bastards. Oh, and when I first saw them, I did imeadiatly think of the Orko guy from He-man... heh.

One of these days, I'm gonna have to draw the red Wizzrobe being mistaken for Orko by someone, and then making that person pay the price for it. . .
